This bird's shape might be a little eye catching, but it has other ways to stay hidden. The willow ptarmigan is found in North America and Canada year round, because it needs to live in a cold environment. It lives in the tundras, forests, and meadows. It finds food by foraging, the diet consists of multiple kinds of berries, leaves, willow, and other plants, occasionally eating insects.
