Surf Report - Wilmington NC

Wilmington NC, Surf City and Topsail Beach Surf Report for 02-19-2025

Listen Later

Surfers and beach lovers listen up! The National Weather Service in Wilmington has officially wrapped up the 2024 Surf Zone Forecast season. As the waves bid farewell to summer, we're hanging up our coastal reporting until April 1st, 2025.

From the sandy shores of Pender County's Surf City and Topsail Beach to the vibrant beaches of New Hanover like Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, the surf forecast has fallen silent. Brunswick's beautiful coastline including Bald Head Island and Oak Island joins the seasonal shutdown.

Heading south, Horry County's beloved beaches from Cherry Grove to Myrtle Beach are also saying goodbye to official surf reports. Georgetown's coastal gems like Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island complete our regional coastal coverage.

While the official forecasts are taking a winter break, that doesn't mean the ocean stops its rhythmic dance. Surfers, coastal enthusiasts, and beach wanderers can still enjoy the raw beauty of our shorelines. Remember to always check local conditions, respect the ocean's power, and stay safe.

The waves will continue to roll, the tides will ebb and flow, and before you know it, spring will return with fresh forecasts and exciting coastal adventures. Until then, keep your boards waxed, your spirits high, and your connection to the ocean strong.

Stay stoked, stay safe, and see you in the 2025 beach season!
