Surf enthusiasts and beach lovers, gather 'round! The waves have spoken, and they're taking a well-deserved winter break. Our beloved National Weather Service in Wilmington has just dropped the final surf zone forecast for the 2024 season.

From the sandy shores of Surf City and Topsail Beach to the pristine beaches of Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, our coastal guardians are signing off until spring. The Atlantic's playground is going into hibernation mode, giving our beloved beaches a chance to rest and recharge.

Whether you're a die-hard surfer from Bald Head Island or a beach bum loving the vibes of Myrtle Beach, it's time to hang up those boards and store those sunscreens. The coastal regions of North Carolina and South Carolina are closing their summer chapter, from the rocky coastlines of Pender County to the sun-soaked beaches of Georgetown.
