Surf's Down, Beach Lovers!

Calling all wave riders and sandy shore enthusiasts this is your annual beach season wrap-up from the National Weather Service Wilmington. As of tonight October 31st 2024 we are officially closing the curtain on this year's surf zone forecasting.

From the pristine shores of Surf City and Topsail Beach in Pender County to the sun-soaked sands of Wrightsville and Carolina Beach in New Hanover we've been tracking every ripple and swell. Brunswick's beautiful beaches including Bald Head Island and Oak Island have also been on our radar.

Sliding down the coast we've monitored the legendary surf spots of Horry County South Carolina. Whether you were catching waves at Cherry Grove North Myrtle Beach or lounging at Surfside Beach we've had your coastal conditions covered.

Georgetown's stunning coastline including Murrells Inlet Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island have also been part of our comprehensive coastal coverage.

But like all good things the 2024 beach season must come to an end. We'll be taking a well-deserved break and recharging our meteorological batteries until April 1st 2025 when we'll dive back into providing you with the most accurate surf and beach conditions.

So pack away those surfboards rinse off your beach gear and start dreaming of next summer's waves. Stay salty beach friends and we'll see you when the 2025 season kicks off!

Catch you on the flip side.
