Surf's officially on pause, beach lovers! As the sun sets on another epic beach season here along the Carolina coastline, we're signing off our surf zone forecasts for 2024. From the sandy shores of Surf City and Topsail to the pristine beaches of Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, our coastal playground is taking a well-deserved winter break.

The winds have whispered their final tales of waves and swells for this year, and now the beaches from Pender County all the way down to Georgetown will rest and recharge. Whether you've been catching waves at Oak Island, riding the breaks near Myrtle Beach, or exploring the hidden gems of Holden Beach, it's time to hang up those surfboards and start dreaming of spring.

Mark your calendars, wave riders! The National Weather Service Wilmington team will be back in action on April 1st, 2025, ready to deliver the latest surf insights for our beloved coastal communities. From Bald Head Island to Pawleys Island, we'll be tracking every ripple, swell, and potential adventure waiting to unfold.

Until then, keep your boards waxed, your spirits high, and your ocean passion burning bright. The beaches might be quiet, but the anticipation for next season is already building like an incoming tide. Stay stoked, stay prepared, and we'll see you when the waves call us back home in the spring!

Catch you on the flip side, surf familia!
