Attention beach lovers and wave chasers! We've officially hit the final sunset of the 2024 surf zone forecast season. As the autumn winds whisper across our coastal playground, the National Weather Service Wilmington has wrapped up its daily surf reports.
From the sandy shores of Surf City and Topsail Beach in Pender County to the vibrant beaches of Wrightsville and Carolina Beach in New Hanover, and stretching down to the picturesque coastlines of Brunswick with Bald Head Island and Ocean Isle Beach, our local surf zones are taking a well-deserved winter break.
Our South Carolina surf friends aren't left out either. The beaches of Horry County - including the lively North Myrtle Beach and classic Surfside Beach - and the serene coastal stretches of Georgetown County like Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island are also saying goodbye to daily surf forecasts.
But don't hang up those boards just yet, wave riders! Mark your calendars because the National Weather Service will be back in action on April 1st, 2025, bringing you the latest surf zone intelligence to keep you informed and stoked.
While the official forecasts are on pause, the ocean never sleeps. Winter swells are coming, local surfers will still catch their waves, and the coastal magic continues. Stay salty, stay prepared, and we'll see you when the 2025 beach season rolls in!
Catch you on the flip side, surf fam!
