Surf's Up Beach Lovers, but Not Quite Yet!
Calling all wave riders and coastal enthusiasts - the National Weather Service has officially closed the curtain on the 2024 Surf Zone Forecast season. From the sandy shores of Pender County's Surf City and Topsail Beach to the vibrant beaches of New Hanover like Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, and stretching down to Brunswick's beautiful coastal gems including Bald Head Island and Oak Island, the surfing forecast chapter is now complete.
Our friends along the South Carolina coastline aren't forgotten either. From the bustling beaches of Horry County like Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach to the serene shores of Georgetown's Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet, the surf forecast story has paused.
But don't hang up those boards just yet! Mark your calendars because the National Weather Service Wilmington will be back with fresh surf zone insights on April 1st, 2025. This means in just a few short months, you'll once again have the latest scoop on wave conditions, surf potential, and coastal marine updates.
Consider this your official beach season intermission. Use this time to wax those boards, plan your coastal adventures, and dream of the perfect wave. Spring will be here before you know it, and with it comes the return of detailed surf zone forecasts to guide your coastal escapades.
Stay stoked, stay prepared, and see you next season, wave warriors!
