Attention beach lovers and wave chasers! The surf season has officially wrapped up for 2024, and the National Weather Service in Wilmington is hanging up its forecasting board until April 1st, 2025.
We've covered the entire Carolina coastline - from the sandy shores of Pender County's Surf City and Topsail Beach to the vibrant beaches of New Hanover like Wrightsville and Carolina Beach. Our coastal Brunswick hotspots including Bald Head Island and Oak Island have also been on our radar.
Heading south, we've tracked the South Carolina beaches from the bustling Myrtle Beach scene to the more serene stretches of Pawleys Island and Debordieu Beach. Whether you were catching waves at Cherry Grove or exploring the tranquil waters of Murrells Inlet, we've had your coastal conditions covered.
But now, as the autumn winds roll in and the water temperatures drop, it's time to stow the surfboards, rinse off the salt, and start dreaming of next season's swells. Beach communities from North Carolina to South Carolina can mark their calendars - April 1st is when we'll be back with fresh forecasts and exciting wave predictions.
So surfers, swimmers, and beach enthusiasts, take care, stay warm, and get ready to ride the waves when spring returns. The ocean is taking a well-deserved rest, and so are we. See you in 2025!
