Wilmington NC, Surf City and Topsail Beach Surf Report for 03-12-2025

Listen Later

Surf's down for the season, beach lovers! The National Weather Service Wilmington has officially closed the book on surf zone forecasts for 2024. From the sandy shores of Pender County's Surf City and Topsail Beach to the pristine coastlines of New Hanover with Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, the wave watchers are hanging up their binoculars.

Our coastal friends in Brunswick County - from the charming Bald Head Island to the scenic Oak Island and Sunset Beach - are also saying goodbye to daily surf updates. The same goes for our South Carolina coastal companions in Horry County, whose beaches from Cherry Grove to Myrtle Beach will be forecast-free until spring.

Georgetown County's beautiful beaches like Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island are also closing out their surf season. But don't worry, wave riders and beach enthusiasts! This isn't farewell forever - just a seasonal pause.

Mark your calendars: The National Weather Service will be back with fresh surf zone forecasts on April 1st, 2025. Until then, keep your boards waxed, your sunscreen ready, and your beach dreams alive. The ocean might be taking a break, but the anticipation for next season's surf is already building.

Stay salty, stay stoked, and see you when the waves return!
