Wilmington NC, Surf City and Topsail Beach Surf Report for 03-13-2025

Listen Later

Alright wave riders and beach lovers, gather 'round for the final surf zone update of the 2024 season! As the autumn chill starts to settle in along the Carolina coastline, it's time to hang up the board shorts and stow away the surfboards until spring.

From the sandy shores of Surf City and Topsail Beach in Pender County to the beautiful beaches of Wrightsville and Carolina Beach in New Hanover, our surfing playground is going into hibernation. Those epic breaks at Bald Head Island and Oak Island in Brunswick County are also saying goodbye for now.

Across the state line, Myrtle Beach and its neighboring coastal havens in Horry County are also wrapping up their wave-riding season. From Cherry Grove to Surfside Beach, the ocean is preparing for its winter slumber.

The National Weather Service Wilmington is officially closing the book on surf zone forecasts for 2024. But don't worry, surf enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for April 1st, 2025, when we'll be back with fresh predictions, wave heights, and coastal conditions to kickstart another epic beach season.

Until then, keep your boards waxed, your wetsuit ready, and your stoke high. The ocean may be quiet, but your anticipation for next season's swells is just warming up. Stay salty, stay excited, and see you when the waves call us back home!

Surf's technically out, but the dream never stops.
