Surf's Closing Time, Beach Lovers!
Alright wave riders and coastal adventurers, the National Weather Service just dropped the final curtain on the 2024 Surf Zone Forecast season. From the sun-soaked shores of Pender County to the laid-back beaches of Georgetown, it's time to hang up those surfboards and beach umbrellas.
Whether you've been catching waves at Surf City, carving through Wrightsville Beach, or chilling on Oak Island, today marks the official wrap of our coastal weather tracking. The team at NWS Wilmington has been our trusty wave watchers all season long, but now they're taking a well-deserved break.
But don't get those beach blues just yet! Mark your calendars for April 1st, 2025 - that's when our favorite meteorological surf scouts will return with fresh forecasts. They'll be back to keep us informed about everything from Carolina Beach swells to Myrtle Beach currents.
Until then, keep those surf memories alive, maintain your gear, and start dreaming about next season's epic rides. The ocean might be going quiet, but your beach spirit doesn't have to hibernate.
Stay salty, stay stoked, and we'll catch you on the flip side when spring rolls around!
Surf's out - see you next season!
