Surf's up, beach lovers! We've got a sizzling forecast that's gonna make your weekend epic.

Today's looking like a stunner along the Carolina coastline with mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 70s. But don't let that gorgeous weather fool you - we're tracking some serious marine action.

Rip current risks are moderate to high across the region, especially from Bald Head Island to North Myrtle Beach. Surf heights are ranging from 1 to 4 feet depending on your specific beach zone, so water warriors need to stay alert. Southwest winds are cranking at 15 to 20 miles per hour, creating a strong south to north longshore current that'll keep things interesting.

Water temperatures are hovering around 60 to 70 degrees - chilly but totally manageable for adventurous swimmers. The UV index is blasting at very high, so sunscreen is absolutely non-negotiable today.

Monday's forecast looks similar but with a slight twist. We're expecting partly sunny conditions with a chance of showers and even a potential for thunderstorms in some areas. Surf heights might bump up to 3 to 5 feet in certain zones, so board riders might want to keep an eye on those building waves.

By Tuesday, things start cooling down with temperatures dropping into the lower 60s and a more mellow wind pattern. Wednesday and Thursday look sunny and calm with lower rip current risks.

Bottom line: Beautiful beach weather with some serious marine energy. Stay safe, stay smart, and enjoy the surf!
