New Hanover County business owners in the hospitality, retail and service industries have until July 15 to apply for grants to help with COVID-19 impacts. The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is in charge of administering the $4.5 million in grants – funding supplied from part of the city's and county’s portions of federal relief funds.

English also will discuss economic development plans and $181,000 the chamber received in the new county budget to start the first year of a three-year plan “for business retention, expansion and recruitment.”
