New Hanover County business owners in the hospitality, retail and service industries have until July 15 to apply for grants to help with COVID-19 impacts. The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce is in charge of administering the $4.5 million in grants – funding supplied from part of the city's and county’s portions of federal relief funds.
Ahead of the upcoming deadline, chamber president and CEO Natalie English joins us on today's BizTalk.
English also will discuss economic development plans and $181,000 the chamber received in the new county budget to start the first year of a three-year plan “for business retention, expansion and recruitment.”

Natalie English has been a chamber of commerce executive for more than 20 years. She began her role as president and CEO of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce in 2017, after serving 11 years with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, including as its chief public policy officer.
