On the heels of the WilmingtonBiz Talk about New Hanover County’s approved budget, this week we break down the city of Wilmington’s spending plan.

The Wilmington City Council on Tuesday passed the $242 million budget for the next fiscal year.

Like the county, it too includes a lower tax rate than before but carries expectations for slightly higher tax bills for property owners – on average $36 more – because of higher revaluations.
