What started as a one-sided affair turned into quite an entertaining encounter, with Australian Ashleigh Barty scoring her first Wimbledon title. Pliskova fought hard and recovered well to take the second set, but Ash's variety won out in the end.

Both players certainly did a lot this fortnight to capture the hearts of fans.

The guys also extend congrats to the newly crowned Ladies Doubles champs Mertens and Hsieh, who won a thrilling three-set encounter on centre court.
