With the nation collapsing to what seems like the point of no return, and the Church as well like a dumpster fire, it is often hard to know what to do and how to respond. Well, we have some good news on this front.
First, just to get right to it, a very generous donor has contributed enough money in support of our annual Church Militant Strength and Honor Conference to help one person who applies with the conference fees as well as up to $1,000 in travel costs.
Additionally, she has contributed more to pay the conference registration fee for 17 additional men. Notice we said "she" — a very generous lady who understands the importance of men coming together and taking the lead in navigating these very turbulent waters.
All you have to do to apply is simply email [email protected]. Then our team will be back in touch promptly with what you need to do.
The dates of the annual Strength and Honor Conference are Aug. 4–6, the first weekend in August as we normally do. And, of course, it's here in Detroit.
This is the first time we are offering scholarships for some men who would otherwise attend but are hamstrung somewhat by Biden's economy. So for some of you, there are no excuses: You have a very generous lady paying your way.
Your emails have to be received by July 5, and recipients of the scholarship will be chosen at the discretion of Church Militant.
For all other men, please click on the provided link and sign up.
It's important spiritually and psychologically while you're under attack to know there are many allies you have — and, for quite a few guys, they tell us they feel pretty much alone in battle. A kind of emotional or spiritual PTSD can seem to set in, a weariness from the constant sense of having no brothers in arms.
It's certainly not the point of the conference, but it is a very welcome side effect to realize that, as a man, you are not alone. So during much of the downtime, relationships are being forged and some renewed.
Yeah, war stories get shared (which is a good thing). That spiritual "band of brothers" intangible sets in, and, as many attendees from the past Strength and Honors have told us, that's invaluable. The Left, with its total dominance of all forms of media (news, entertainment, sports), is very good at making sure none of their crew ever feel isolated or abandoned.
Signs of their solidarity are omnipresent, to the point of suffocating, which is why events like this one Church Militant hosts each year, as well as our Retreats at Sea, are so helpful to so many.
We are emotional beings; we aren't robots, and it doesn't take much by way of feeling isolated to start to mess with some folks' heads. So come to Detroit that first weekend in August and break whatever isolation you may feel and band with other like-minded men. This holds for your sons as well, dads.
Remember those teenage years and early adult years which were, for quite a few of us, massively awkward and dominated by the sense that the last thing you could do was stand out from the pack. Young men today, maybe more than ever, are now tempted by the collapsing culture to abandon everything they might know and throw in the towel.
That's why we are also having a "young guns" panel as part of this year's Strength and Honor. None of us can assume that our sons or nephews or grandsons are immune from the cultural rot just because they were taught the Faith — and for the record, most of them were not.
So here is a chance to engage them intellectually, where most males live (or at least should live, despite the culture dumping on them and trying to turn them into beta males).
This year's Strength and Honor is aimed at men across the age spectrum, from teenagers to granddads, because, no matter our ages, the Faith needs reinforcement, especially in light of the chaos so prevalent today.
So please click on the link and register: We're just barely a month away, and again, if you need financial assistance, just email [email protected] and tap into the wonderful donor's generosity, specifically contributed to encourage you to attend.
Obviously, we know who the donor is and allow us to simply say to "M," thank you.
God love you, and we'll see you here in Detroit in just about a month.
