Hello and welcome to Field Notes, It's autumn and the afternoon sun is low in the sky. 🌤 The waves at Porthleven beach are crashing up the sandy bank and we’re walking down by the waves, making our way slowly across the sand, the wet sand crunching under foot and the noice of the waves to our right. 🌊 Once we’ve made it to the steps we climb up onto the high storm breakwalls with the village perched on the cliffs behind us. The sun is in front of us and we sunbathe here, wrapped up in our coats to stop the wind, faces poking out, enjoying the last heat of the sun. 🍁 ☀
