What is today, is not what was 25 years ago, and most definitely is not how it started. While I don’t necessarily want a hard reset on cheerleading, I would like to take it back some years. Back to when cheers were less angry and “shake it” was cutesy and required way less hip mobility to execute the moves. 📣

I’m sure many moms hold this thought mentally, but few dare to say it out loud; I love my kids…but some days I don’t like my kids. Loving your kids makes you feel bipolar! They’re the cutest, sweetest little monsters you’ll ever know. And once you’re a parent, you’re a parent f-o-r-e-v-e-r! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!…in my best Thriller chiller laugh, lol. So be prepared! 💀

TV and movies have been around for so long, you’re bound to have a remake, or two, or a few! BUT, which ones are worth watching? And which ones just need to be left off? Check out which shows make my watch list and which reboots get the boot! 📺

Y’all know, with kids in the house, I’m usually on the “sharing is caring” train. But parents of school aged kiddos…here’s my exception. Please tell your kids to keep all germ infested hands, pencils, lunch time snacks, and cutesy stickers to themselves. We do not want them and appreciate the compliance. Thanks! ☺️

Have you ever tried to find a needle in a haystack…it’s pretty much near impossible. That’s how I’m sure many people felt from that show Long Lost Family on TLC. What if I told you, I pretty much had my own episode! No, not on the show itself…but I found my own needle in a haystack. It definitely wasn’t easy or quick. But a bit of perseverance and Gods timing lead me to filling in the biggest question mark of my life! 🕵🏽‍♀️

Summer has reached its tail end and school is in site! This episode I chat with my favorite rising 3rd grader as she gears up for another exciting school year. Be warned…she is well past her bedtime. 😂

At what point do we let our kids learn and do for themselves? When do we teach that the habits we allow to set in now, be them good or bad, will reflect in their future real world situations? And when should grace be given vs reasonable expectations enforced? They may always be your baby…but ma’am, cut the cord. 👶🏽

It’s been a busy week and my mental is on overload!! Not to mention gearing back up for school, house projects, and the normal never ending to do list taking up mental space. This mom could use a mom-cation. Instead, this pulse check will have to do. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Back to school happens every year…literally every year. Yet we, the people, bum rush the stores as though it was a last minute posting that hit everyone’s phone at the same time. Like one of those emergency broadcast sirens. This leaves “normal” life to duck, dodge, and crawl its way out the stores, SMH. And did I mention tax free weekend is a scam! ⚠️
