Welcome to Winesday! My name is Ken Hawk, and I welcome you!  What IS Winesday?  Well, my wife Margie first coined the term when we made Wednesday our special wine-drinking night.  It started as "Wine and 'Minds" because we drank our wine while watching Criminal Minds that evening on CBS. What exciting lives we lead (yes, I'm being facetious). We started our own wine journey not long after we first met in 2005.  Since then, we've gone from being novices to well-seasoned oenophiles (OK, wine snobs) over the past 20 years.  It didn't happen overnight, and it's been quite an experience! This podcast is geared towards the oenophile and the novice.  Novices, this is a safe place, and we're here for you!  We'll show you how to begin your wine-tasting journey with the right wines to make the most of your newfound hobby!   We may do the occasional historic deep-dive, but for the most part, we're going to leave the boring parts out, and get you on your way to tasting!  Wine should be fun!
