MARK 2:18
Now John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and asked Jesus, "How is it that John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not?"
ZECHARIAH 7:4-6, 9
When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for the past seventy years, was it really for me that you fasted? And when you were eating and drinking, were you not just feasting for yourselves?...
'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.'
MARK 2:19-20
Jesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have him with them.
But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from the, and on that day they will fast.
ISAIAH 25:6,8
the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food fro all peoples, a banquet of aged wine - the best of meats and the finest of wines...
He will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people's disgrace from all the earth.
MARK 2:21
"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse.
MARK 2:22
And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins."

Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.

WHAT ARE WAYS THAT WE NEED TO BE RENEWED?
ISAIAH 61:3-4
To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devasted; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
TITUS 3:5
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.
He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
