Seamstress Abigail Huxley is in danger of becoming an old maid. Orphaned at 14 and raised by her loving aunt, she can't offer her new husband a dowry. All she's got is her skill with a needle and her faith that God has a plan for her.
Longing for a family of her own, Abigail prays long and hard before deciding to become a mail-order bride.
When Abigail arrives in Salvation, she's confronted by a reckless young woman named Sarah who's determined to drive a wedge between Abigail and her new husband.
Is Abigail's faith in God strong enough to protect her from the fears lurking in her own heart?

Excellent Page-Turner Romance
Winning the Deputy's Heart is a very sweet romance. I read it in one setting, and I loved every page of the story.
I loved that the deputy wasn't after a young woman, but wanted a more mature wife. It also made him more likeable.
Abigail doesn't know her husband very well, of course, so when a young saloon girl tells her that she has an affair with her husband, she doesn't know what to think, and she's haunted by jealousy. I liked the way she dealt with that feeling, because yes, it can harm a marriage.
Great book, looking forward to the next one :)
Serenity's Mail Order Brides
After reading the entire Serenity series, I would gladly recommend reading the series to anyone who likes mail order bride books. They aren't long ,but are complete. You meet the characters, learn about each of them and their lives. They are exciting and very interesting. I am anxious to read more of Faith Parsons books!
Loving this series
The poignant background given, lends these tales a sense of familiarity. You can identify with, and empathize with the hero and heroine's situations. I appreciated the way the stories are presented.
Aspiring
From what I have read it's pretty good. Really looking forward to the other Mail Order Bride stories to be read. Also seeing how women had to go about things way different than those today. It proves how hard they had it then. Just reading this proves how good we have it now these days compared to then.
There were some strong women then with how they had to live and what they had to do to just survive. It's really aspiring to read about what they did. Very good and moving. Thanks!
Read
I have now read the first two books in this series and can't wait to read the third. I know they can be read as a story by itself but this also would have been a great story as one book.
