In this the first episode of Life, Living It and Loving It podcast Gordon looks at the seasons we all experience in life. There are a number of seasons in each person’s life and each season may have a different pace and every individual will experience their seasons differently.
If you reviewed your life now what season would you be in a waiting season, a dry season, a review season, a happy season, an ‘anything that can go wrong has’ season or a psychological warfare season?
There are as many seasons as there are people and knowing what season you are in is the key to understanding what action you should be taking to make sure you are living the life you love.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
It can be difficult to recognise where you are in life when you are stuck in a rut but it’s important to recognise seasons change.
The key is to move through the negative seasons as quickly as possible and remain in the positive seasons as long as possible so that you are living the life you love.
The dry season - can be challenging as everything seems to be stuck and nothing changes.
Refocus on your goals and make sure they are what you want to do.
The waiting season – a season where you may be waiting for something external to happen and it can be challenging to keep your focus. Use this time to practice and improve.
The grinding season - when you are acutely focused on what you are trying to achieve.
Prioritise your activities and work through them.
The everything that can go wrong season – this can be challenging but everyone experiences this.
Everyone has barriers and it’s all about overcoming them to live the life you love.
The Psychological warfare season – this is when those around you tell you it’s not possible for you to achieve something. Get yourself around like-minded positive people.
As you move towards your goals you naturally move towards others who are like-minded.
BEST MOMENTS
‘Any season is not going to last forever’
‘Doing the things, you have been putting off will lower your levels of stress’
‘Get yourself around like-minded positive people’
