Winstanley ~ 1975

17th-century social reformer and writer Gerrard Winstanley, who, along with a small band of followers known as the Diggers, tries to establish a self-sufficient farming community on common land. Their efforts are met with a number of difficulties, including the Ranters, who reject the very notion of obedience, and believe in freedom from all traditional restraints and that sin is a product only of the imagination.
