The story flashes back a few weeks to see what Lotus had been doing after departing the group. He explores the temple of Ibara, called the Hall of Secrets. Lotus is able to obtain all sorts of information that might lead him to the Eye of Odros. While amongst the Lorekeepers, Lotus also notices that the flutes carried by the Lorekeepers look like Jade's. Eventually, the Companions arrive back in Grimsby and is reunited with Lotus. Plans are made for the next day and going to the Hall of Secrets.
