Over the next few days, a low pressure system will be moving through the South from Texas to Florida. For most areas in the South, an inch or less of rain is possible, while areas farther north like Oklahoma and Kansas could see up to a foot of snow. This storm formed because of a large, strengthening trough, which has brought cool, arctic air into more southern locations creating the possibility of snowfall in states as far south as Texas.
