(Rock Hill, S.C.) -- Eagle Air hosted a special broadcast for Virtual Winthrop Day (April 25), which included interviews with students, faculty, staff and alumni, in order to give prospective students and families a look at what it's like to be part of the Winthrop community. We also asked people to share songs they would recommend for our #PandemicPlaylist.
In the fourth hour, we spoke with alumnus Chad Steele (1997), the senior vice president of communications for the Baltimore Ravens, about his experience at Winthrop and his role working with star quarterbacks at the Super Bowl. Steele, who majored in business with an emphasis in marketing, is also a former captain of the Eagles basketball team. Additionally, spoke with WU graduate Brandon Taylor (2007), a news anchor at WLTX-TV in Columbia, S.C., about his experience at Winthrop and the role of the media covering the COVID-19 pandemic. Taylor majored in mass communication with a concentration in journalism.
