WORT 89.9FM Madison · Wisconsin Governor’s Pardons Fall Short
On April 7, 2023, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers announced that he had granted clemency to 159 people convicted of felonies and who had completed their sentences at least five years ago. That brings the total number of pardons Evers has issued in the past five years up to 933, the largest total in Wisconsin history. Eric Howland is the past President of Madison Organizing in Strength, Equality and Solidarity or MOSES, and he joined Monday Buzz host Brian Standing on April 10, 2023.
