Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Wisconsin Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th.
Folks, here's the deal. Winter decided to behave itself today. No drama, no tantrums. Just a clean, cold Saturday morning with sunshine on the way.
Step outside in Northeast Wisconsin and you'll feel 25 degrees. A light west wind at 8 miles an hour keeps things honest. There's a slight chance of flurries up there. Nothing that sticks. Just enough to make your windshield look fancy for ten minutes.
Head south toward Madison and the thermometer dips to 22 degrees. Barely a whisper of wind. It's the kind of still, cold morning where you can hear your neighbor's coffee maker through the walls. Over in Southeast Wisconsin, you're at 26 degrees, but a west wind at 10 miles an hour adds some bite. Bundle up if you're heading out to run errands in Milwaukee.
Tonight, skies clear and the cold settles in like a cat on a warm laptop. Lows hit the upper teens down south. Up north, you're flirting with the low teens. That wind finally backs off, which sounds nice until you realize calm air means colder air.
Here's what's coming your way this week. Tomorrow's the gem. Highs push into the mid 20s up north, near 30 degrees down south, with wall to wall sunshine. We're gaining 2 minutes and 52 seconds of daylight. Sunrise at 6:32 A.M., sunset at 5:19 P.M. You'll actually notice it. By midweek, highs creep into the low 30s. No storms lurking. No wild swings. Just classic February doing its slow crawl toward spring.
Air quality sits at moderate today. Sensitive groups, you'll want to take it easy.
One more thing. If this forecast helped you plan your Saturday, share it with a friend. Word of mouth keeps us going.
Stay safe out there. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
