At the age of three, Prateek chose to embark on a journey into the world of Hindustani classical vocal artistry, rooted in Varanasi. His formative years were under the nurturing guidance of the late Mrs. Chhaya Chatterjee, who dedicated seven years to honing his talent. In his hometown, he continued his musical odyssey under the mentorship of the revered vocalist and teacher, Shri Devashish Dey. He is known among the founding members of the contemporary fusion act, Raagleela. Currently, he plays the role of a vocalist in the Anirudh Varma Collective, an avant-garde Delhi-based ensemble that explores the boundaries of contemporary classical music.

Ordained by Ajahns Anan in 2013, a disciple of Ajahn Chah, he honed his path in Thai, Australian, and US forest monasteries. Convinced of the Thai Forest Tradition's resonance, he found harmony in communal life, solitary meditation, precept fidelity, and modern relevance.
