Just as they have throughout the history of the Church, women today are playing important roles in advancing the Gospel around the globe. Women have served in some of the most challenging places to make Christ known in spiritually dark lands. But for women who may be sensing acall to international missions, it can be tough to know what to think or how to prepare.

Emily Bennett, who served as a missionary with her husband in the Middle East, joins the Christian Emergency Podcast to shed some light on this important topic. Emily recognized there were books and resources available for ladies curious about foreign missions. But there was still a need for down-to-earth, approachable advice.

Emily and several other women stepped up to the plate and delivered just such a resource. Before You Go: Wisdom for Women Serving Internationally is a new book Emily has edited. It covers a range of important topics, and offers the wisdom of several women who draw from their experiences as missionaries.
