Dr. Teresa Jeter is the founder of Midwest Women’s Empowerment Summit, a nonprofit organization that inspires and encourages women to live empowered lives by Stirring Up The Gifts Within ©. As Chief Operations Officer for a Black-owned women’s business, she received a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Ball State University and a doctorate degree in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University. One of her most fulfilling experiences was building houses for first-time homebuyers and handing a single mom the keys to her first home. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Jeter has been the recipient of many honors, including a governor’s appointment to the Indiana Commission for Women and recognition as a Distinguished Hoosier for Public Service and Contributions to her Community. She is the mother of one daughter, Talia Jeter. When Dr. Jeter is not working or speaking, she is facilitating exciting women’s empowerment cruises to Europe and other interesting places around the world.
