I watched a lovely butterfly
in the forest as it passed me by
looking like a bright, Spring flower
sailing over the summer skies
Floating gracefully
and so carefree,
and I found my self wishing
I could fly, wish I could fly
wish I could fly......
Then I heard some birds
perched up high in the trees
sharing sweetest melodies
more beautiful than any song
Beethoven composed
crescendoing down to me ...
Then suddenly
they were gone
they'd all flown on
perhaps I distrurbed
their reverie.
And I found myself
wishing....
like them
that I could fly,
wish I could fly
wish i could fly....
But I am just a mortal
with two arms and legs
and I won't get my wings
here on Earth
no matter how
much I beg.
I am destined to be
an earthbound guy
till that day when
I am bound to die....
Then I will fly
I'm gonna fly so high
I will fly~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just watch me fly
I'm gonna fly
So High-igh-igh-igh.
