The World Championships in dressage, jumping, vaulting and para-dressage took place in Herning Denmark August 6-14, 2022. There were 950 riders and vaulters, and 1200 horses from 50 nations. Women took over the podium in the individual dressage when Britain’s Charlotte Fry was crowned World Champion with Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour in silver and Dinja van Liere from The Netherlands in bronze. Denmark (3 women) won the team gold with Great Britain (2 women) silver and Germany (2 women) bronze. Sweden dominated the jumping with team and individual gold. Malin Baryard-Johnnson was the only woman on the Swedish team and Dutch silver medal rider Sanne Thijssen the only other woman winning a team medal. Very unusually, there were no women finishing in the top ten individually in jumping.
