Witchsorrow Interview - Talking 'The Devil And All His Works' and More!

Listen Later

Eight years on from the release of the highly-acclaimed Hexenhammer album (2018), British doom and metal legends Witchsorrow are back. Entering their twentieth year with even more fire, they will release their fifth offering, ‘The Devil And All His Works’ on July 3rd, 2026, via Church Road Records.
From the mighty, organ-infused opener Omnia Finiuntur, to Bacchus’ celebration of sin, the fist-raised chug of Hades Chains (featuring guest roars from Serena Cherry of Svalbard/Noctule) or the epic A Quintessence of Dust (featuring Employed to Serve’s Sammy Urwin shredding a killer lead), fans of this stuff in its most arcane, heavy and occult-edged form will fall under its spell.
We spoke to guitarist and vocalist, Nick Ruskell and bassist Emily Ruskell about the new album and the journey to its release. Delving deeply into why it has taken so long, how it evolved over time, what it means to see the new music being embraced so widely, and much more.
