Communities that Pray Together
Finding Meaning in Communal Prayer
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
(Recorded live at the Intown Jewish Academy on June 18, 2019)
Solitude seems most appropriate for soulful reflection and meditation and for experiencing a highly personal moment with G-d. This lesson examines the role of communal prayer, to which Judaism lends enormous weight, and leads us to the realization that solo prayer is severely limited in terms of our greater goals. It offers practical methods of balancing the personal and communal elements of genuine prayer to arrive at the ultimate prayer experience.
