This past week we were reminded that Jesus will return for us. Jesus said “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18), intending to mean the sending of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. But the truth is applicable to His Second Coming too! He won’t leave us here. He will return for us! But He will return for us to take us to be where He is...for eternity. When Jesus returns our redemption will be completed. To be sure, Jesus has finished the work for us in order for us to be in heaven forever, but we nonetheless wait for Him to return so that we can be, well, completely complete in Him! Today we remember, Jesus promised us, He will be “With Us for Eternity”!
