Luke 2:19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered

them in her heart.

● NLT - but Mary kept all these things in her heart

and thought about them often.

● MSG - Mary kept all these things to herself, holding

them dear, deep within herself.

● TPT - But Mary treasured all these things in her

heart and often pondered what they meant.

Phil 3:7 But what things were gain to me, these I have

counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all

things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ

Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all

things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain

Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own

righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is

through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from

God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of

His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings,

being conformed to His death

Rev 3:14-21 Church at Laodicea

● Not hot or cold

● I’m rich and have need of nothing...don’t know that

you are actually poor, blind, & naked.

● It’s like we get lulled to sleep or distracted by doing

good, being successful, or overcoming that we

forget why we are doing good, why we are being

successful, why we are overcoming.

● There is a way out of this “luke-warm”

state...whom the Lord loves, He corrects. He says

be zealous and repent.

● Get excited and change your ways!!

● He says “I’m knocking at the door...if you open up I

will come in and dine...or be with you”

● Then He talks of overcoming again!!

1 Cor 11:28 let a man examine himself

Buy from Me gold that you may be rich

● Psalm 19, 119, Prov. 3, 4, 8, & 16 all compare the

word, ways, statues, and wisdom of the Lord to

gold, fine gold.

● It may not be easy to get into the Word of God. To

lay up for yourself treasures in heaven. To seek

first the kingdom of God. To be a doer of the Word

of God.

● But it pays!! Withstand the storms of life, Blessed

in what you do, Prosperous and good success

Buy from Me garments that you may be clothed.

● 2 Cor 5, Is. 61, Gal 3, Rom 13, Eph 4, & Col 3 all talk

of taking off the old man, putting on the new,

being clothed with righteousness & salvation.

● Rom 12 says present your bodies a living

sacrifice...this is reasonable service.

● You can do all things through Christ who

strengthens you...that means you can take off the

old man, and clothe yourself with the new.

Anoint your eyes that you may see

● 2 Cor 4, 1 Cor 2, John 16, & Eph 1 all talk of your

eyes being enlightened, or seeing clearly, or

wisdom being revealed to you.

● The Holy Spirit can change your “vision” in a

moment...you can see differently, or clearly
