We have heard it said, directly from the Bible, there in Ephesians 5:22. "Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord." But biblically, what does that even mean? Submission in marriage has a bad connotation in today’s world. When society hears “wives submit to your husband,” they get frustrated and throw their hands up with the belief that a woman's submission to a man is demeaning. In general it's thought about as inferior, docile, or degrading.

It's important to know that these definitions are given by people, and not by God. So tonight we will dive into what does it mean for wives to submit to their husbands? And should a husband then submit to his wife? Or, how then does the husband respond, what is his role, and his duty? (I'll give you a hint, it's also right there in the Bible).
