Wix's Easy Accessibility Certification Will Lead to More Horrible "ADA Website Compliance" Services

Listen Later

Kris Rivenburgh explains why Wix's "accessibility-certified site creator" exam for planning and building accessible websites is problematic.  Wix's is a widely recognized brand name and bestowing accessibility certification on any one who scores 75% on a 30 question multiple choice exam will mean everyone, including people who aren't qualified, can be certified in website accessibility.

Also, Wix's own level of accessibility is nowhere near the mastery that is needed to issue certification of others.  They should partner with a reputable organization like WebAIM if they want to do this.
