In the latest Book Club Mejis is still reeling and hedging on panic from the murders from early that morning. Susan sees this panic and is taken up in it herself, but her panic is more for the accused. She rides quickly through town and winds up back at her old house and has a huge blowup with Cordelia and ashes. Later she sees the Coffin Hunters riding back to town with Rhea. She makes preparations for her plan at the hut with Roland's guns. Fran Lengyll has a meeting that sets the town towards a slow burn that will be a brutal end for our boys. Susan meets up with Sheemie who is ready to help.
