The sophists were tutors/lawyers of ancient Greece and Rome whereas sophistry is "the use of fallacious arguments especially with the intention of deceiving." The intent of this episode is to discuss the parallel between sophists and their sophistry in the past and how they've evolved into today's ideology salesman/bad faith debaters.
