Dead from sin and alive in Christ

The great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said "You can't stop a bird from landing on your head. But you can keep it from building a nest." How does this translate to you? The truth is, whether you're facing something difficult in your life right now or God has answered all of your prayers you may still feel like life is pulling you down. Today, Pastor Toby talks us through this passage in Romans chapter 8 where the apostle Paul wrote "Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live." There is an element of self control in this. Because Jesus died on the cross our debt is paid. But we have the job of overcoming our sin patterns. Sin does NOT have to have dominion over you. Work on your transformation, be an overcomer and live in victory knowing the price for your sin has been paid in full. The living God loves YOU beyond measure!
