WKP #006 A visit with Dr. Grant Woods about all things Whitetail Bowhunting

In this episode, (IT IS AWESOME BTW) we get the privilege to speak with Dr. Grant Woods. Dr. Grant Woods was raised and began his love of white-tailed deer as a bow hunter in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. As a hunter, his field experience led to his master and doctorate’s degrees on the subjects of scrape and rub behavior. He directs a wildlife research and management consulting firm that serves corporate, university, and private clients from Canada to New Zealand. His success at conducting wildlife research, designing site-specific management plans to improve deer herd quality, and educating hunters about advanced management techniques are well known throughout the whitetail world. In 2010 Grant developed a video-based website to share his years of knowledge about hunting and growing whitetails, wild turkey, and other game at www.GrowingDeer.tv. Viewers have described the site as a “perfect blend of whitetail information and entertainment.” A hunter since childhood, he not only knows how to grow big deer – but how to effectively hunt them as well.
