He is on the staff and/or a regular contributor to “Professional Bowhunter” “North American Whitetail” and “Traditional Bowhunter” magazines. Gene has authored five books, hundreds of magazine articles and has been involved in multiple outdoor video, audio and TV productions. He has been a keynote speaker for the NRA Great American Hunters Tour and regularly does numerous annual seminars or guest speaker engagements nation-wide. Hunting strictly with bows and arrows, Gene has taken 27 species of big game. He has hunted all over America, Canada, Alaska, and has completed eight bowhunting safaris to Africa. Gene has authored four books on hunting whitetails, including the best selling “Hunting Rutting Whitetails” and “One Man’s Whitetail” and “Come November.” Other ventures include the Wensel Woodsman, a 3:1 ratio broadhead of Gene’s design.
