WKP #019 Don Higgins from Real World Wildlife Seed talk's food plot's, land management and how to decide what to plant.   When 16-year-old Don Higgins shot his first whitetail back in 1979 his whole world changed. His interest in the outdoors became focused solely on whitetails, and soon mature whitetail bucks occupied his every waking moment. Over the years he perfected his craft in the “real world” where mature bucks are hard to come by. His success slowly became more consistent as the bucks he shot became bigger and older. Several Boone & Crocket class bucks have fallen to Dons arrows including a 214” monster.  Now Don has himself firmly planted in the Outdoor Industry.  Don has a passion for whitetails that led him to Higgins Outdoors.  From there he has expanded his business into food plots.  Don is also a part owner in Real World wildlife seeds.  To say he has been successful is an understatement.  In 1996 North American Whitetail magazine published Don Higgins’ first article and in the years since he has had hundreds of articles published in almost every major hunting magazine. At some point the readers of these magazine articles recognized Don Higgins as being genuine and down-to-earth while also proving to be knowledgeable. He never made himself out to be an expert but simply shared the lessons he learned while spending countless hours in the whitetail woods. This notoriety led Don to author two very popular books on hunting trophy whitetails which can be purchased though the store on the website. you can find him online at http://www.higginsoutdoors.com or at http://www.realworldwildlifeseed.com/
