[Mat 23:23 NIV] 23 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.  This’s a tough teaching for the religious leaders of Jesus’s day. Jesus was making sure they knew that they would be held accountable for not practicing what they teach. Just because someone is a good teacher it does not mean they are living faithfully.
