The prophet Isaiah pronounces a series of "woes" on the nation of Judah in Isaiah 28-35. The nation had stopped relying on God, practiced superficial religion, and were unwilling to listen to God's Word. Even so, God longs to be gracious toward them and calls them to return to him.
