Patrick Tsang interviews Wolfgang Hohmann, better known as Wolfi, the owner & CEO of Wolfi’s Bike Shop in the UAE. Wolfi speaks about his upbringing in southwest Germany, in the Black Forest, and taking a chance to start a new business in Dubai against all odds, which then helped push the trend of cycling in Dubai and the UAE. His drive to grow cycling in all its forms is paralleled by the city he has chosen to call home in the Middle East, located on the renowned Sheikh Zayed Road and with a showroom space of 3500 square feet. The Dubai shop was established in 2002, though the company has been in the bike business since 1989. The first Wolfi’s Bike Shop is located in Heitersheim, close to Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany.
