In today’s episode, I’m bringing you a conversation around abandonment - a theme that has been circling in my world since covid, but has also been a theme in my life for many years.

Alongside resurfacing whilst I was sick with the dreaded virus, I’ve also come to learn through therapy how this core wound of mine plays out in other areas of my life, specifically in my relationship. It constantly reveals new layers for me to meet, and when meeting the topic of abandonment with a client recently, we dove into the confronting ways that she was also abandoning herself.

When we are on a journey of reclamation - healing stories, beliefs and patterns - yes, we go to the root cause (if our nervous system is ready and able to hold that - if not, then we tend to our nervous system first!) and yes, we must address all the areas that feel sticky and hurtful.

However, what I have found to be the most fruitful and what I offered my client is this;

From here on out, you must work to never abandon yourself. Ever.

This starts by looking at all the daily and small ways where you can choose yourself.
