Hi sexy and welcome back to the Sexyfit Podcast!
I’m soooo excited to bring you the first episode of our amazing new series called Woman Crushing Wednesday. We are sharing real stories from real women who are on their Sexyfit journey and who are going through major transformations right now. We are showcasing these raw, inspiring stories so you can feel, see, hear and understand what our sisters have been experiencing.
Our first guest is Amanda Kempker, a real self-made expert and our Sexyfit community manager. This woman has it all together. She is a decision maker, she has a tremendous drive, she’s holding an important position in her company. Amanda is now in the 2nd year of our program. She finished Sexyfit Mastermind last year, now she is in the LevelUp Mastermind and training for half-marathon! She has lost 40 pounds to date, and only in the month of February she lost 5 inches off her waist.
Why did you start this journey?
I wanted to get my self-confidence back. I used to be the one who was always in all the photos. But during last ten years that changed and I became the first one to avoid camera. I wanted my confidence back. I wanted to walk into a room with my head high, not being worried if I’m perfectly dressed or how my selfie is going to turn out. I wanted to be confident to jump into any photo again.
What obstacles did you overcome on this journey?
My biggest obstacle was fear of failure. I knew this was something to commit to for a year, but what if I fail? The other obstacle was money. Finally I told myself that if I could spend that money shopping or dining out, why wouldn’t I invest it in myself instead? I told myself I cannot fail, because there is Zlata and the community. Once that clicked I finally signed up, one month after the program started.
What would you tell to your old self at the beginning of this journey, and what is your advice to the community?
I’d tell myself to get into it sooner. I wish I put myself first much earlier.
In this program we are using mantras, our daily affirmations which we put on mirrors, in phones, on computers. I took it to another level, and I got bracelets with my mantras that I wear throughout the day. The one that sticks most is “One Day at the Time.” That is my advice to the community.
Another big takeaway is our sisterhood, the community itself and the support, motivation and accountability you can find there. Seriously, if you are not part of the group yet, you HAVE to join, it’s www.sexyfit.com/group.
By the end of this interview both Amanda and I were crying. Because this is so much more than just fat lost. It’s about personal, spiritual and even professional development, it’s about community and support on the journey to your best self.
